A nice mellow, old-school bossa album, recorded in Mexico, where Lyra and other Brazilian luminaries were in cultural exile. This dips a bit into iffy pop territory, but mostly it's exactly the sort of gentle gem that fans of lounge, bossa and jazz are looking for all across the world. Recommended!

precious, a cool work!!
This would not be my first pick for this artist. First, he has quite an amazing voice, but strangely most of his LP's don't really do him justice. E No Entanto É Preciso Cantar [1971 Philips] is a good one. Eu & Elas [1972 Philips] is also good. Both are a bit uneven though.
Bossa Nova [1959 Philips] is a good example of his early style & Heroi Do Medo [1975 Continental] is a sweet example of his mid-70's work. A very under-rated artist with a great voice, but his LP's are a tad uneven.
i agree with Justin, his records are kind of beguiling... But I want to hear the Japanese mastering of this! I posted the Brazilian pressing, with some info, here
